Sheds and small portable buildings are deceptively annoying to move. They're too rigid to disassemble cleanly, too heavy to lift by hand, and too tall for most tilt trays once you account for tray height plus building height. HIAB handles them properly — lifted onto the truck, driven to the new location, lifted off into position.

Standard residential sheds (Stratco, Absco, Spanbilt — typically 3x3m to 6x4m) sit comfortably on a HIAB. Bigger workshop sheds and small granny flats up to about 4x6m fit too, depending on internal weight (loaded sheds are obviously heavier than empty ones). Anything bigger usually needs to come apart for transport.

Common scenarios: moving a shed across the same property (slab change, new build, landscape redesign), relocating between properties when someone moves, or shifting a granny flat that's been outgrown. We can also do the lift-only version where you've already arranged the truck — just need a crane at one or both ends.

For granny flats and dongas, council approval for relocation is your job, not ours. Once the paperwork's sorted, the lift is straightforward — though we usually want photos of both sites to confirm reach and access before booking.
